CrowdTap - Dove Products Review
I recently got a chance to try out some new products from Dove, thanks to CrowdTap. I received Dove Nourishing Rituals Smoothing Ritual Conditioner and Shampoo, Dove go fresh Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Rejuvenate, Dove Invisible Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Sheer Cool, and Dove Nutritive Solutions Intensive Repair Mask.
The first thing I tried was the Dove Nutritive Solutions Intensive Repair Mask. It was a small packet that I was able to get 2 uses from. I have fine hair, so I wasn't sure how well it would work. It has a nice smell, not overpowering or flowery. You can use this hair mask weekly, you apply it to freshly washed hair, and leave it on for 3-5 minutes before rinsing it out. Dove Nutritive Solutions Intensive Repair Mask claims to Leave hair up to 10x more resilient against everyday damage, progressively nourish deep inside the hair strands with regular use, uses Nutri-Keratin Repair Actives to fortify damaged hair protein, instantly makes hair feel smoother, and makes hair visibly stronger, more beautiful and healthier over time. I thought it was very easy to use, and a little goes a long way. I have hair that is about 2 inches or so below my shoulders, and a nickle size squeeze was perfect. It left my hair soft, shiny, tangle free. It also did not leave my hair weighed down or looking greasy - even by the end of the night. That's a definite plus in my book. I have used it once a week for 2 weeks now and I do think my hair is softer and healthier looking. I would definitely use this on a regular basis.
Next I tried the Dove Nourishing Rituals Smoothing Ritual Conditioner and Shampoo. Again, I have fine hair on the longer side, so I am often worried about shampoos and conditioners weighing my hair down and leaving it looking greasy by the end of the night. Especially those that are not labeled specifically for fine hair. The Dove Nourishing Rituals Smoothing Ritual Conditioner and Shampoo both have a nice light scent. Nothing flowery or over powering. 2 things I hate in a shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo got my hair nice and clean and left it soft and tangle free. The conditioner conditioned my hair really well, leaving it soft, smooth and shiny. And the best part, my hair stayed light and smooth all day and night without looking flat or greasy. Impressive! I have been using them both for over 2 weeks now, and I have no complaints. The shampoo and conditioner are enriched with marula fruit oil and baobab extract which gently cleanses your hair, while helping to remove frizz, and smooths your hair. All without weighing it down. Both shampoo and conditioner are suitable for daily use.
Now on to the Dove go fresh Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Rejuvenate and the Dove Invisible Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Sheer Cool. The Dove go fresh Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Rejuvenate works pretty well. It has a nice light pear scent. It claims up to 48hrs of protection, but I shower every night so I haven't put that claim to task. It has 0% ethanol alcohol and contains 1/4 Dove moisturizers to help keep irritation after shaving at bay, and keep your underarms soft and smooth. I thought it did a good job at keeping me smelling fresh and kept me dry. It went on smoothly and didn't leave any white marks on my clothing. I do feel like it felt really sticky by the end of the night when I went to wash it off. Not a deal breaker, but it was weird.
The Dove Invisible Advanced Care Antiperspirant - Sheer Cool also works pretty well. This one also claims up to 48hrs of odor and wetness protection, but again, I shower every night so I have not tested that out. It also has 0% ethanol alcohol and contains 1/4 Dove moisturizers to help keep irritation after shaving at bay, and keep your underarms soft and smooth. It claims to leave no white marks on 100 colors. I found that it did indeed leave no white marks on any of my clothing. It did a good job of keeping me smelling fresh and dry. It has a light scent and goes on smoothly. I found it to be less sticky when I went to wash it off that night.
Overall I am really pleased with the line of Dove products I was able to try, and would recommend them. I plan to continue to use them all.
GUM Crayola Squeeze-A-Color Toothpaste Review
Thanks to Mommies Clique, I received a FREE box of the new GUM Crayola Squeeze-A-Color Toothpaste for kids to try out! It is a 4.5 oz box which contains 3 tubes of 1.5 oz toothpaste. There is a a green tube which is "Jazzy Apple, a blue tube that is "Blueberry Burst", and a red tube that is "Melon Blast". These are anti-cavity fluoride toothpastes that are safe for ages 2 and up. Your child can use just one flavor or mix and match! My kids really liked to do a small amount of each! My daughter's favorite flavor was the "Melon Blast" and my son favored the "Jazzy Apple".
The toothpastes are non-staining and contain Xylitol - which I really like. I, however, don't like that they contain RED40. That would be the one thing I would ask them to change. The tubes have a very small tip, so a fine line of toothpaste comes out, instead of a thick line, preventing kids from making a mess or using way too much. The tubes resemble crayons, and are perfect sized for little hands. This was great, because my kids always want to squeeze the toothpaste on themselves, and they were able to do so without wasting a ton, or getting it all over everything.
The packaging box resembles a crayon box. So cute, and appealing to kids. Upon a little research it looks like it retails for about $3.69-$4.49 for the box of 3 tubes, and can generally be found at Walgreens - but you can do an online search through the GUM website to find a retailer near you . Or if you prefer to shop online, you can do directly so at the GUM website. Also if you sign up with Coupons.com they have a $1 off 1 box! Just look under Personal Care. I highly recommend giving this toothpaste a try!

Dr. Scholl's For Her Comfort Insoles Review
Thanks to Influenster and Dr. Scholl's, I got to try out the Dr. Scholl's For her Comfort Insoles. I received a complimentary pair in my MamaVoxBox from Influenster. These insoles are made just for us ladies. The will fit in any shoes from heels, to flats, to boots! And they fit shoe size 6-10. Not only are these great for providing long lasting comfort for your heels and foot, but they also help prevent your shoe from rubbing on your foot and causing blisters. They also help absorb shock to the ball of your feet. The insole glides effortlessly into your shoe, with no cutting or measuring required. It has a slim fit so it won't crowd your foot or toes. The insole itself is flexible and also clear! No unsightly insole to ugly up your favorite pair of shoes. The insoles are marked right and left so you know where to put them, and you just remove the clear backing so they stay in place. These are so comfortable you will forget they are there - except for the fact your feet won't be aching! I have tried these out in both my walking shoes and in a pair of flats. The insoles went in easily and fit comfortably. My walking shoes often leave the ball of my feet and heels so achy, but no more! I need to buy a couple pair for all my uncomfortable shoes I own. Cleaning them is easy, you just wipe them down with a damp cloth, and they should last for 6 months!
